Demons No One Knows
“No matter what, you will always love me.” Her words began as comfort. The Viking and his Queen unwavering, even as they stand amid a forest of sorrow, in shadows cast by an army of their Demons. A shared promise to defend each other. Her bow aimed true, an arrow nocked its point glittering with light from her heart, while he clutched her shield against the horrors. A lone lantern rests between, illuminating nightmare. The murk in the air was easier to breathe when she was there. The growled snarls of Demon horrors did not cause dread. The blackness made easier to see. Her inspiration filled him with confidence, her beauty with vigor for battle. Even as ghoulish hordes march, led to battle by an odious Demon Lord who drains happiness from her soul. Light fading from her eyes spurs the Viking into battle. Without hesitation or pause, he charges headlong into the fray. Valiantly deflecting both claw and talon, striking indiscriminately at the darkness. Love airing his strength, no fear
